Quality of Life in Dubai Marina
What is the quality of life for residents in Dubai Marina today while large scale construction continues, and what will life be like when (or if) the construction comes to an end? These are more interesting questions for the resident or future resident to ponder than "when will the real estate bubble burst?", which seems to be all the talk among investors.
A survey would be one way to approach the question. Clearly most of the issues below represent concerns and hopes for all Dubai Marina residents. One might see things from a glass half-empty or half-full perspective, but for most the negative will probably outweigh the positive, while the longterm view should be more optimistic.

Very interesting article, and very educative.
As for me this questionnaire is a really helpful for people who would like to invest in Dubai property, especially in Dubai Marina, cause people before purchasing such interesting estates should know all cons and ,whether to buy it or know. Thanks for the great info.

Great post. I'm the more optimistic half of the residents; thinking that it's quite nice already and with firm belief that the current lacks are just temporary.
But then again, I work so much I barely get in the door before I go to sleep:)

On the one hand the construction seems to be taking forever. On the other, it's the most accomplished of all of Dubai's big development sites and seems to grow remarkably from month to month. For present and would-be residents patience is required, but the payoff should come when most of the towers and all of the infrastructure reaches completion within the next 3 years or so.
As for having to spend so much of one's time working to pay for the privilege of living in the Marina, I'm sure many will find themselves in this position as salaries for most in Dubai are not enough to comfortably make payments. This becomes all the more burdensome when properties aren't completed on time or built to advertised standards.

Real Estate Weblog: A blog entry that speculates on when the real estate market will start to see appreciation in its values. Good effort keep it up.
