Would you buy a home in Dubai? If so, why? Obviously, many people are deciding to do so, but is it a prudent choice. While many are in fact buying, many others sit on the sidelines and some wouldn't approach it with a 10-foot pole. In Dreaming of Home in Dubai this dilemma is examined:

It feels like casting a lot. It isn't like the dream home experience one is likely to experience in another country... You (have) no input in decisions on size, layout or design, much less on materials, contractors, etc. Nor (are) you allowed any input or permitted to make modifications in the contract. It is a completely take-it-or-leave-it proposition.
